I have proudly been a primary school teacher for 12 years- working in three primary schools across Bradford.

Within those 12 years, I was promoted to Assistant Headteacher and in that role I was in charge of the following:

• Pupil Premium

• Key Stage One

• Vulnerable groups

• Geography

• Art

• Design and technology.

I have worked across both key stages, whilst also having a degree in Early Years Education.

I also have a strong passion for supporting and enabling every child that I have taught. I believe that every child can thrive, achieve and succeed when supported in a manner which is tailored to their needs.

My teaching style is allowing children to have ‘hands-on experiences’ (no printed out generic worksheets!) to allow children to become confident learners who are information seekers, problem solvers and resilient!

I created Learn with Katia, a private tutoring service, to support home-educated children as well as children who would benefit from tutoring to work alongside their mainstream education.
